Casablanca is embracing its sporty side with its latest sneaker release.
“The idea was to incorporate the sophisticated tennis white uniform with a pop of contrast colour detailing, creating an everyday sneaker drawing from the sport themes and iconic design cues that already flood the DNA of the brand,” said Casablanca’s art director Steve Grimes in a brand statement.
Indeed, the French fashion brand’s versatile new Court sneaker is cast in a round-toed silhouette inspired by tennis culture, ’80s and ’90s aesthetics and timeless architecture for everyday wear. The 375 EUR (approx. $401 USD) style features smooth, paneled white leather uppers with gold-tipped laces and green “Casa Sport” side lettering for a retro flair.
Casablanca’s signature braided logo is cast by Grimes and creative director Charaf Tajer in red and white rubber patches, which accent each heel with a pop of color.
The duo completed the neutral pair — which comes in both mens’ and women’s sizes — with ridged rubber outsoles spliced in white and emerald green tones, with a textured base in hues of red, yellow and blue providing a vibrant finish.
Casablanca’s Court sneakers are a new element within its fall 2023 collection, which features an array of printed men’s knitwear, tracksuits and vibrantly printed shirts and separates in hues of white, green, red, blue and yellow. Similar relaxed, sporty pieces can be seen in the women’s line, which includes intricately printed tops, skirts and shorts, embroidered denim and patterned outerwear alongside enamel and pearl jewelry.
Casablanca’s new Court sneakers are now available on its website.
