MAGICIAN DYNAMO has come up with a novel way to stage his comeback – digging his own grave and burying himself alive, before his rebirth on a live TV special with A-list assistants Cara Delevingne and Demi Lovato.
The two-hour show on Sky Max next month, Dynamo Is Dead, will also feature conversations with stars who, like him, have battled back from health problems, such as Cara and Demi, plus boxer Tyson Fury.
A source said: “This will be Dynamo’s most outrageous stunt yet and one not to be missed.
“He’s walked on water and levitated above skyscrapers, but never before has he worked his magic underground.
“The show culminates in Dynamo laying himself to rest, sparking this new era of his life with his trouble put firmly behind him.”
The magician, real name Steven Frayne, will also chat to Dragons’ Den investor Steven Bartlett about his personal challenges and loss of identity in the programme, which airs on December 14.
Dynamo has battled with the bowel condition Crohn’s disease since he was a teenager and in recent years he has suffered from arthritis, sparked by a severe case of food poisoning, which resulted in a break from the limelight.
He said: “Arthritis affected all the joints in my body — my toes, my knees, my neck, my ankles, my hands, which really sucked, because I am a magician . . . when you can’t shuffle a pack of cards because your hands are in so much pain, which has happened on the odd occasion.”
Thankfully, Dynamo is now back to doing what he does best and has regained control of his hands — as his shovelling on the new show will testify.

He says: “I can say that openly and honestly, we have five kids, and I never want to put, the onus on my team, ‘oh it’s f****** Ramsay’s daughter, it’s Ramsay’s son,’ five amazing kids and what I learnt from 2010 was, yeah, don’t mix family and business. Stay independent. Look after family, but don’t mix it.”
