TOWIE fans have turned on fan favourite Diags as they accused him of ‘gaslighting’ Jodie Wells after their explosive on-camera row.
The star, who goes by the real name of James Bennewith, introduced the brunette beauty to the rest of the cast in a recent episode of the ITVBe show.
Diags and Jodie had been seeing each other for a while and he invited her to stay in a Somerset mansion last month.
Diags’ former flame Elma Pazar was left heartbroken when Jodie arrived on the trip, but managed to introduce herself and was happy for them.
But in the most recent episode of Towie, Jodie confronted Diags after it was revealed that Diags and Elma shared a kiss back in September while they were seeing each other.
Diags told Jodie in an intense chat: “I did kiss Elma. I didn’t think I did at the time and up until pretty much yesterday I still didn’t believe that had happened.
“But obviously the people have told me and the people are speaking about it and have said wouldn’t have a reason to lie.
“I just feel like I need to tell you and be clear about it that did happen.
“I just don’t know. I’m obviously really sorry.”
Jodie replied: “It’s not like we’ve been seeing each other for two weeks, is it? We’ve been on holiday. We see each other all the time. And you just still feel the need to go out and kiss Elma.”
Towie fans aren’t impressed with Diags’ actions.
One wrote on Intagram: “Gaslighter…I didn’t think I did….[rolling eyes emoji].”
A second chimed in: “Run quick Jodie.”
Another said: “AS IF he didn’t remember doing it.”
“Major red flags she needs to walk away now, he’s messing her around. If he truly likes Jodie he wouldn’t have done the things he has. She’s worth more than this,” a fourth added.
But it looks like Diags and Jodie have managed to kiss and make up because the pair went Instagram official last week.
