Amid former US President Donald Trump’s legal battles, he’s been hard on the campaign trail for the 2024 Presidential race. However, his wife Melania Trump has been noticeably absent throughout it all (except for a very low-key appearance at Mar-a-Lago on Halloween). Many have speculated why she’s not been on the campaign trail, with many assuming she’s focusing on motherhood or trying to distance herself from the legal issues. However, Melania’s former BFF and aide Stephanie Winston Wolkoff says there may be a whole other reason why.
In a recent piece for The Washington Post, Wolkoff claims that Melania didn’t like the “creepy and invasive” people at her husband Donald’s political events. Because of this, Melania allegedly avoids those types of people at all cost. Apparently, these types of people were “always trying to put their arms around her, or ask her what perfume she uses or the brand of her sunglasses,” per the news outlet.
Wolkoff even alleged that Melania hated going to political events because Donald “talks and talks and she sits there and is expected to smile.”
“I can’t imagine she wanted him to run again,” she added. “But she would never say that.”
Donald has briefly said that Melania “hates” certain parts of his political events, and claims that she’ll join him when the time is right. However, this new piece of information may explain why she has, and will continue, to avoid political events.
