Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Tottenham are of the belief that their decision to extend Mikey Moore’s contract in the summer will prove an ‘excellent move’.
Moore is widely seen as one of the most promising talents in the Spurs academy, with the winger hitting the limelight with his three goals and providing four assists in 10 appearances for the Under-18s last season (Transfermarkt).
The teenager signed his first professional contract back in June, with Romano revealing at the time that Daniel Levy and the Spurs board fought hard to keep the youngster at the club as he was attracting interest from several European sides.
The 16-year-old has been on fire for Tottenham’s Under-18s so far this season, with 11 goal contributions (seven goals and four assists) in just six matches.
The versatile attacker netted a hattrick for England’s Under-17s in their 5-1 demolition of Croatia in U17 Euro qualification on Thursday.
Romano has taken to social media on the back of Moore’s impressive showing to state that Tottenham are delighted that they were able to tie down the starlet.

Given how well Moore is playing this season, I think we will see Tottenham fast-tracking the attacker to the Under-21 set-up over the coming months.
