Both Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal are thought to be tracking a teenage striking sensation by the name of Karim Konate, with scouts from both clubs watching the youngster recently.
It’s well-documented that the two London clubs are interested in adding a striker to their respective ranks.
Tottenham lost the prolific Harry Kane in the summer, with the England captain joining Bayern Munich. Heung-min Son has stepped up in his absence, leading the line for Ange Postecoglou‘s side.
Son has bagged eight goals already this season (Transfermarkt) and has looked back to his best after a difficult campaign last year. However, he can’t do it alone, and attacking additions could be made in the January transfer window.
Arsenal meanwhile, are likely to bolster their ranks due to the injury issues of Gabriel Jesus. The Brazilian has never quite got going since joining the Gunners from Manchester City.
There are also doubts as to whether Eddie Nketiah is strong enough to lead the forward line for a team hoping to challenge for the Premier League title.
According to 90 Min, the two rivals have been watching Red Bull Salzburg closely of late, with 19-year-old Karim Konate thought to be of particular interest.
The Ivory Coast international scored two goals at the weekend under the watchful eye of scouts from the London clubs. That takes Konate to ten goals in all competitions this season, with a further six assists (Transfermarkt).
It is thought West Ham and Crystal Palace have also been keeping tabs on the marksman.
In addition to Konate, Spurs and Arsenal are also thought to have taken a look at both Lucas Gourna-Douath and Oscar Gloukh, too.

It’s exciting to know that we are looking at such promising talents, and it would be great to see a player like Konate arrive at Tottenham. He’s firing on all cylinders right now, with the only caveat being that he is doing it in a weaker league, of course.
