FSA Update
Dear Members, and all fans of Wigan Athletic
I hope you are well and enjoying the young Tics making us proud!
On the 8th November, I attended the Football Supporter’s Association (FSA) quarterly EFL network meeting. It was a packed agenda but i gained a lot from it. The main items were:
1) Green football weekend (3rd February). The FSA is sponsoring this initiative. In essence, clubs and fans can engage with with the initiative which will push forward a sustainability plan for EFL clubs. After our next committee meeting, we will let you know how fans can get involved.
2) Ash Brown – Head of Supporter Engagement and Governance (friend of the club) gave his initial views on Football Governance and the independent regulator being part of the kings speech. Linked to that, the matter of Fans Advisory boards was discussed. I really benefitted from this and will be meeting soon with members of other fan groups who have new owners.
3) Away Ticketing- Given the increase in broadcasting revenues from 24/25 a motion was carried to push for price caps for away tickets.
