LIAM STEWART has achieved some impressive feats during his career as an Ice Hockey player.
But no matter where the sport takes him he will likely always be overshadowed by his superstar dad.

He’s been with the side since 2019 and boasts the fourth best goals per game ratio in the Buckinghamshire outfit’s history.
But he’s achieved far more than that on the ice with the 29-year-old representing Great Britain during the Ice Hockey Division 1B World Championship event in Northern Ireland in 2017.
The Brits took home gold at the event and had a helping hand from Liam who scored twice during the tournament.
It’s safe to say that Liam’s sporting success doesn’t come from his blood with his mega star parents preferring the flashing lights instead.
The hockey ace is the son of rock and pop star Rod Stewart and his model ex-wife Rachel Hunter.
The pair raised Liam in Los Angeles which would explain his devotion to the typically American sport.
But having spent a period of time playing in the States for a number of teams he has settled into playing ice hockey over here.

Although that didn’t stop him from giving the sport a go in his mother Rachel’s home country of New Zealand.
Back in 2018 Liam had a brief spell with Queenstown based side Skycity Stampade where he made 24 appearances.

And in 2019 he told ITV how his dad keeps an eye on his career now he’s playing in the UK.
He said: “Obviously he’s interested because I play now, but I grew up playing football.
“I was going between both and I you could say I kind of came to a point in my life where I had to choose because I couldn’t keep doing both and I guess I just chose hockey and it’s worked out so far.
“When he’s not touring he tries to keep up with my career.
“He emails me here and there but he’s a pretty busy guy so if he can come down and watch me he will but he does keep in contact a lot.”
