The defeat against Chelsea on Monday has cost Tottenham more than their unbeaten start to the Premier League.
Their most influential creative midfielder James Maddison will be out until the new year with an ankle injury and defender Micky van de Ven will also be out of action for several months due to a hamstring injury.
Forward Richarlison will also undergo surgery during the international break and will be out for at least a month.
With injuries to several key players and Cristian Romero suspended due to a red card, there are suggestions that Postecoglou could be forced to compromise on some of his principles of football.
The Spurs boss conceded that there is always that temptation to deviate from his methods but he indicated that will not be happening as apart from chocolate, he can resist temptation.
However, he conceded that he has never faced so many squad disruptions from one match in his career.
Asked if he is tempted to change his style, the Tottenham manager said in a press conference: “There’s always the temptation but apart from chocolate, I’m quite good at not giving in to temptations.
“It’s maybe the first time in my career where we’ve had such a disruption from one game.”
It remains to be seen whether there will be a slight change in tactics when Tottenham visit Wolves on Saturday afternoon.
