Kate Middleton's Parents Reportedly Axed Plans To Start Another Business 'To Protect' Her Royal Reputation

Kate Middleton’s parents, Carole and Michael, have been mired in a financial fiasco after their Party Pieces business went bankrupt earlier this year. Even though they no longer owned the company, Carole continued to be the face of the party supply business and had reportedly promised her suppliers that they would get paid before they went under — but none of that happened.
Now, the Express is reporting that there’s another tricky layer to this situation that involves their eldest daughter. The couple already had another business lined up called First Birthdays, but they had to put it on the back burner once the negative headlines started to surface. It seems that their company’s failure was not reflecting well on the royal family. Yikes! That’s quite a sticky situation with the palace in-laws.
“The Windsor name took a minor dent when Party Pieces collapsed because of all the money it owed to hard-working people,” an insider shared with the media outlet. “There’s no way that the Palace will want that kind of thing to happen again. The royals are meant to be inspirational for hard-working people, not those that are seen to profit from the loss of others.”
The Middletons apparently had a long-term plan for their First Birthdays company after registering it in 2006. It’s remained “dormant” since then, but they have kept the name in their possession. “The couple were busy planning their next move but have now scrapped any future business plans to protect their daughter’s reputation,” the source added. “Anything the Middletons do will inevitably swing back on Kate, so it’s best that her mum and dad keep a low profile moving forward.” It’s what the media outlet is calling a “forced retirement.”
King Charles III has been dodging negative headlines ever since he took the throne and the Princess of Wales’ parents have been adding to that pile-on. They seem to have the support of their small village of Bucklebury, but they probably don’t want to press their luck any further with the palace.
