My Shein dress seems modest for the aunties who judge me – but I can reveal what it really looks like on the dance floor
A WEDDING guest dressed up in what she thought was a modest outfit for her judgemental relatives.
She said she’s able to really get down in the Shein dress with a hidden feature on the dance floor.
Veronica (@_veronicab_) shared her dress in a video with over 510,000 TikTok followers.
The content creator explained what her game plan was for the eye-catching sparkly blue dress, $37, she wore to the ceremony.
“So when you’re walking past the aunties who are going to judge you for the way that you dress, the way that you walk, the way that you dance, your job, the fact that you’re unmarried…” she said.
Although the list went on and on, she still made an attempt to please her relatives.
“…You make sure that your dress is modest and then when you get to the dance floor, you reveal the dress and you let them talk even more,” she said.
She twirled around in the modest blue dress that hit her at the ankles, only to reveal that a layer of the dress came off in a train for a shorter dress.
Veronica explained she loved the Shein dress for one reason: “The best dress to shock the aunties,” she joked.
People were obsessed with her Shein find and took to the comments to share their thoughts.
“The longer version looks so beautiful,” said one awed commenter.
Others agreed that even though the shorter version was better for dancing, they preferred the look of the longer.
“Honestly… it looks better when wrapped,” agreed another.
Many said there was simply no satisfying their relatives, no matter what they did: “I get judged for even wearing a dress,” joked a viewer.
