Guglielmo Vicario has thanked the Tottenham fans for their reception after the final whistle despite the home side’s heavy defeat.
Tottenham’s unbeaten run came to an end in dramatic circumstances on Monday evening as the home side fell to a heavy 4-1 loss to their fierce rivals Chelsea.
However, the scoreline does not paint a fair picture of the game by any means, with the Lilywhites having to play the majority of the game with ten men and a significant portion of it with nine after Cristian Romero and Desinty Udogie were sent off.
The Spurs players showed tremendous fight in the latter stages of the game and almost managed to get an equaliser against all odds.
Vicario was undoubtedly one of the stars of the show for the home side, sweeping up impressively behind Tottneham’s high defensive line and pulling off some outstanding stops to keep his side in the game.
The goalkeeper took to Instagram after the game to admit that the players left everything on the pitch and remarked that he had never experienced that kind of support after being on the receiving end of a heavy defeat.

The reception by the supporters was further evidence that all Tottenham fans want to see maximum effort and for the team to attack with bravery.
The atmosphere after the final whistle was even better than it was after some of the wins we had under Antonio Conte, which shows the mood around the club right now.
