IF you’re worried about the cost of using your tumble dryer or heating during the colder months, then you’re not alone.
But it turns out there’s a super simple way to dry your washing over night this winter – and it won’t cost you a penny.
Josephine Yenna took to money-saving Facebook group Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK and shared a snap of her washing hung up on a clothes and bath pole.
Alongside the image, she penned: “Don’t know if this is of help!
“This is the way I dry our clothes over the colder month…always leave the window slightly open to stop condensation – no tumble dryer or electric needed.”
The post has since garnered a whopping 2.3k likes and over 850 comments, with many quick to praise Josephine’s top laundry-drying tip.
“Me too – my little bedroom is like a laundry,” wrote one.
A second penned: “We have an extra shower curtain pole above the bath and hand clothes on that.”

A third commented: “I hang mine on my shower pole – works a treat.”
Meanwhile, a fourth noted: “Always do this – works great just towels and heavy things I don’t put up as worried they may be to heavy for my curtain pole.”
Another added: “Yes I do this in my kitchen and the children’s school blouses get hung up on their bedroom curtain pole.”
A further chimed in: “I do this down stairs in kitchen and hang upstairs on the door frames then in the night move to my shower curtain to close bedroom doors.”
And one more pointed out: “I do this all the time!! Makes your room smell lovely as well.
“We do this, also have an extendable line that detracts back (has 5 lines on) that goes across my room.”
