A man was arrested after allegedly damaging over 20 vehicles in downtown New London on Friday, police said.
Officers responded to the area around the municipal parking lots in downtown New London on Friday night for a report of a man damaging car tires, according to the New London Police Department.
Police located a man matching the description of the suspect that was provided by witnesses. The man, identified as 41-year-old Nicholas Worthy of New London, was taken into custody without incident.
Police said 21 vehicles were discovered to have been damaged.
Worthy was charged with 21 counts of third-degree criminal mischief. He has a court date scheduled for Nov. 14 in New London.
