A 27-year-old man is accused of attacking another man with a machete in the driveway of a multi-family home in Windsor Locks, police said.
On Saturday around 12:30 p.m., the suspect was allegedly involved in a dispute with another man, 46, in the driveway of a multi-family home on Suffield Street, according to the Windsor Locks Police Department.
During the dispute, police allege that the suspect armed himself with a machete, which he retrieved from the trunk of his vehicle, and swung it at the victim.
The victim reportedly ran toward his vehicle to protect himself from the suspect, according to police.
The suspect then allegedly swung the machete at the victim nearly cutting him. The machete reportedly struck the upper left sleeve of the victim’s sweatshirt causing a minor tear, police said.
According to police, the suspect has been identified.
Police are searching for any home video camera footage that may show what took place during the incident, which remains under investigation.
