MARTIN Lewis’ MSE issued an urgent warning to ensure Brits don’t miss out on £250 of free cash.
The Money Saving Expert team revealed how Brits must have taken action before midnight on Monday to see hundreds land in their bank account.
Martin Lewis has issued an urgent warning[/caption]HSBC banks were offering the free cash to customers who opened two accounts with them.
Applicants must have been accepted to kick start a current account and a Global Money multi-currency account.
Martin Lewis’ MSE team suggested the fee-free HSBC Advance as a current account or HSBC Premier.
Meanwhile the multi-currency debit card can be set up via their banking app.
To be accepted and receive the extra money, applicants can’t have held or opened a First Direct current account since October 2018.
If were eligible, you would have been paid £125 in the first instalment, and a further £80 as a bonus.
These two payments require different steps.
To see your first lot of free money, you would have had to open your HSBC Advance account and within 60 days pay £1,500 into it.
This money does not have to stay in the account – but you will need to make at least five payments from it.
Then, Brits must open the Global Money account on the HSBC app and within 20 days to be paid £125.
The final £80 would have come through after this debit card has been used at least five times by April next year.
If these rules were followed, the remaining free money will be paid into the Global Money account in May 2024.
This also automatically enrols you into a raffle to win one of 24 £3,000 cash jackpots.
Debit card holders will be able to decline this offer.
This comes as Martin Lewis also warned millions they could be owed £1,000s from their energy provider.
As the nation prepares to spend more across winter months despite soaring cost of living prices, Brits have been urged to review their bills.
