A BRIDE-TO-BE was shocked by her pregnant younger sister’s rude request to wear her wedding dress before she did.
Things took a dark turn when the older sister refused.
After she shared the story anonymously to a Reddit post that got removed, the TikTok account @relateabletimesnow recounted what she wrote.
“My entitled sister demanded to have my ‘fat’ wedding dress because she’s pregnant. I refused so she came up with a solution,” she began in the clip.
“Her solution was insane.”
Two months ago, the woman’s younger sister, Lucy, and her fiancé held a big event to share some news.
“They found out a few weeks prior that they are expecting a baby.
“We were all very excited for them, but as soon as everything settled down, Lucy stood up and made a toast to me.”
The toast, however, wasn’t what she expected.
“She said she was thankful for having a bigger in heart and in size sister like me to gift my wedding dress to her since she was getting married with a baby bump.”
The woman couldn’t believe her little sister’s audacity.
“I was shocked and tried to ask what she meant by that as politely as possible.”
That’s when her stepmom chimed in, saying it was just a “sister teasing” that she couldn’t comprehend, as usual.
“I was humiliated by everything and burst into tears in front of everyone.
“I ran to the bathroom while my stepmom said, ‘see?’ and mocked me while she told me to grow up.”
Lucy, in turn, said the “most exciting news” of her life had now been ruined and noted that her sister “could not possibly understand since [she has] a child-free lifestyle.”
That’s when the sister lost her patience.
“I then rudely asked why the hell she thought I would be giving her my wedding dress.
“Apparently, her and my stepmom had talked and decided that because my wedding wasn’t until March, and because I was fatter than them, I wouldn’t mind loaning my dress or buying another one since I had saved and invested with my big degrees.”
Lucy threw in some more digs while she was at it.
“[She] went on to say that it was ok if it was not altered because I am so much bigger that she would easily fit even pregnant.
“[She] said if I don’t give it to her, I am no longer a bridesmaid. I told her that was fine and stormed out of the bathroom.”
After a day had gone by, tensions only rose, with the stepmom and Lucy texting the sister that she had “destroyed the family” with her refusal.
“[They said] that I clearly don’t care about my soon-to-be niece or nephew by not allowing my sister to have my dress.”
Although the sister didn’t respond, Lucy and the stepmom’s friends continued to harass her.
“It had gotten so bad that someone left a crap on my doorstep with a picture of my face on it.”
The only reason the harassing stopped was because Lucy’s fiancé told her he was going to leave her if she didn’t cut it out.
“Things had been quiet ever since then until tonight, when I got a call from my sister saying she has scheduled a termination tomorrow for her baby girl since she cannot fit into her dress.
“She then said I could stop all of this if I could honor her simple request of giving her my dress.”
The sister couldn’t believe Lucy’s reasoning.
“I told her that if she was terminating her baby over a dress, she does not deserve to have any children and her baby girl can be a gift to another person who will actually love her and not place fabric over her.”
Lucy, however, thought her sister didn’t understand what a “good parent is” because she’s child-free.
“I hung up on her and she sent me a text with a picture showing when, where, and time of the appointment.”
The sister decided to call Lucy’s fiancé to get some feedback, but he said he didn’t know about the gender nor the appointment.
Viewers were horrified by the whole drama.
“I am literally fuming over this story! Termination over a DRESS?” one person wrote.
“It’s your dress and she has zero say over it. PS: cut ties with her and stepmom,” added another.
