A TIKTOK tech whizz has shared a simple trick that could boost your iPhone’s battery life in just ten seconds.
The “Apple Expert”, whose videos have been liked by millions looking for tech tips, shared the surprising trick in a helpful video.
He starts by explaining that charging your smartphone to 100 per cent can actually be damaging to its overall battery health.
“Science actually tells us that we need to have our battery charging levels between 20 and 90 per cent to preserve battery health,” he said.
He then advises viewers to use their Shortcuts App and set up a helpful reminder that will prevent them from over charging their phones.
“Go to the Shortcuts App, head over to Automation and click on create personal automation.
“Then go to battery level, make sure to bring the slider up to around 85-90% and click on next.
“Press on add action and select speak-to-text…type anything you’d like to warn you.”
At this point the Apple pro types in ‘Enough Juice!’, the command his phone will now give when the battery reaches 85 per cent.
There are options to choose a different type of voice, and a chance to play it out loud and see if you like it before setting it.
Then, he shows viewers how to do the same thing for when your battery hits as low as 20%, following the same steps.
Another tech guru has pointed out all the things that can be an unexpected battery drain for your iPhone.
With a few simple settings changes, you can save some juice.
