Angelo Mathews of Sri Lanka was controversially given a "timed out" dismissal in a World Cup clash against Bangladesh, making him the first player to suffer such a dismissal in international cricket's 146-year history. Mathews took more than two minutes to take strike, which led to an appeal by Bangladesh captain Shakib Al Hasan, upheld by the on-field umpire.
