DALLAS, Texas – Four members of the Arkansas men’s team wrapped up play at the Ralston/Neufeld Coaches Challenge on Sunday at the Styslinger/Altec Tennis Complex competing against SMU in singles and doubles play.
The Razorbacks started out the day with a doubles win as the tandem of Senior Jakob Mosvold and junior Jake Sweeney picked up their third victory of the event over Neff/Stafford, 6-2. The other duo of graduate Jared Horwood and freshman Connor Smillie dropped a close match to Sillman/Cloud, 4-6.
In singles play, Mosvold and Sweeney both dropped close matches on the final day, as Mosvold lost 6-3, 0-6, 13-15 to Yang. Sweeney dropped the first set in his match but rebounded to win the second set. In the third set, Cloud pulled away to claim the victory, 10-6.
Members of the Arkansas men’s tennis team will continue the fall season as they travel back to the Lone Star State for the PTT 25K Fort Worth from November 13-19 before closing out the fall in Winston-Salem, N.C. from November 26-December 3.
