A LEGENDARY game show’s return date has been confirmed – and it’s just days away.
ITV have finally announced Deal or No Deal’s long-awaited reboot will kick off this month.
Stephen Mulhern was previously revealed as the show’s brand new host, taking over from Noel Edmonds.
Eager fans can see the new series in all its glory when it launches on Monday, November 20th at 4pm on ITV1.
The format of Deal or No Deal remains largely the same, apart from a new studio and host.
Its prize fund has also had a significant drop – being slashed from Channel 4’s eye-watering £250,000 to £100k.
An insider previously told us: “It’s a strange sign of the times, but times are tough for ITV just as it is for all other companies across the country, and £100,000 is still a lot of money these days.
“Plus, Deal or no Deal was never about the winnings, it was always about the game and the camaraderie between the contestants, with some happy to walks away with nothing….or just 1p in some cases.”
Deal or No Deal initially launched on the public service broadcaster back in 2005 and ran for 11 years before being culled from the schedule.
Previously speaking about hosting the game show’s reboot, Stephen said: “Wow what an opportunity, I’m beyond excited to be hosting the brand-new series.
“I’ve always been such a huge fan of the show, so much so, I’ve been practising at home with small cereal boxes!…
“It looks so simple but it’s an incredibly compelling game for both those playing and the viewers watching at home.
“It’s one of the greatest shows of all time and to be the new host is an honour! I can’t wait to get started.”
