November 5 – Brazil have confirmed their bid for the 2027 Women’s World. Cup with the handover of a governmental declaration to FIFA by the minister of sport André Fufuca.
Signed by Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, the declaration contains the government’s guarantees that FIFA requires from candidate hosts, including tax exemptions, work permits and visa procedures.
Fufuca handed the document over to FIFA supremo Gianni Infantino on the sidelines of the Copa Libertadores final at the Maracana.
