With Delhi's pollution levels set to worsen further after Diwali, the Arvind Kejriwal government has announced the return of the odd-even car scheme from November 13 to 20. A decision to extend this scheme will be made later. The vehicle restriction scheme allows cars to ply on alternate days depending on their odd or even license plate numbers. Odd-numbered plates will be permitted on odd dates, while even-numbered plates will operate on even dates. Notably, the scheme, initially introduced in 2016 to combat vehicular pollution, was enforced in 2017 and 2019 as well.
