RYAN Connor is faced with an unexpected return and it could lead to a new steady romance – but how will Daisy Midgeley react?
Meanwhile, one Coronation Street character is pushed over the edge while another could be the target of a brutal revenge.
Six months after her explosive exit from the ITV soap, Erin Austen is due to reprise the role of club promoter Crystal Hyde this week.
But this could mean trouble for Daisy Midgeley.
Ryan Connor (played by Ryan Prescott) and the former Rovers barmaid (Charlotte Jordan) let temptation get the best of them in recent scenes and rushed into bed together.
However, while Ryan is a free agent since his last relationship ended in tears – ironically, because of Daisy herself – Daisy is committed to Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard).
Aware that his romance with Daisy is impossible, as she remains engaged to the Weatherfield teacher, Ryan is chuffed when a former love interest reaches out to him.
Crystal leaves Ryan a message telling him she’s watched his live stream and owes him an apology.
He later agrees to go out for a drink with her, sharing the news with Carla Connor (Alison King) and Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne).
While the businesswoman warns him that she’s nothing but trouble, Peter tells him he is pleased as it could stop him from interfering in Daisy and Daniel’s relationship.
But what will Daisy if she finds out Ryan is moving on?
This remains to be seen but as she’s known for her strong temper and her propensity to stir up trouble, one could suspect she may come up with a plan to get Ryan’s affection.
Is history doomed to repeat itself as she could sabotage yet another relationship for Ryan?

Speaking of taking action, Bernie Winter is adamant on providing for her sick son Paul Foreman before it’s too late – but it’s set to backfire on her again.
When her son Paul Foreman (Peter Ash) reveals that he has applied for the PIP, Bernie is relieved – until she learns he’ll have to wait eleven weeks before the first payment is made.
Concerned he won’t be able to cope, particularly as his motor neurone disease (MND) takes over his entire body, Bernie meets with Big Garth and asks him to flog the rest of their gear at a knockdown price as she desperately needs money.
In the precinct, Big Garth hands Bernie a wad of cash but unbeknown to them a police officer takes photos.
As Bernie heads home she’s arrested on suspicion of handling stolen goods.
To make matters worse, Paul finds out he has six to twelve months left to live and Joseph Brown (William Flanagan) is taken to hospital after complaining about a headache.
Bad news keep piling up for Bernie and the matriarch feels progressively backed into a corner as she clumsily tries to find ways to help her loved ones.
Actress Jane Hazlegrove spoke to Metro.co.uk about what could potentially be ahead for her character and teased she could “crash and burn at some stage.”
“She is such a strong fierce woman, she will fight for her family but then she does things that cause them problems, she is a contradiction.”
“She steps up when she has to and it is partly to make up for the past. She has been careless with the kids and with their emotions, and I think she now sort of sees herself as having to steer the ship through all kinds of waters.”
“And if she’s the only one that can keep a positive spin on it, then she’ll keep doing that for as long as she can. But you also know she’s going to crash and burn at some stage as well, which is what happens this week.”
Could Bernie crumble under the pressure and turn to dangerous means to overcome it?

Bernie isn’t the only mother willing to bend over backwards to help her children as Audrey Roberts (Sue Nicholls) is also a Weatherfield resident known to fiercely love her family.
The hairdresser was heartbroken by the sudden death of her evil son Stephen Reid and was ready to get revenge on the man she believes was responsible for his demise – Peter Barlow.
But in a surprise twist, and after making sure his reputation was tarnished, Audrey paid the cabbie a visit to apologise for her behaviour.
Viewers have grown sceptical of her ever since, believing Audrey is playing the long game as part of a deadly revenge plot.
Many of them have speculated she could even trick him into a relapse in alcoholism.
“Is Audrey being genuine? I want her to redeem herself for the Peter hate train, but I don’t want her to just be playing some dumb game to push him to drink”, one of them penned.
Another vehemently warned: “Peter! Don’t trust Audrey. I think she’s going to put alcohol in your tea.”
“Got a feeling Audrey’s on a mission here…gonna leave a bottle of whiskey when she leaves or something”, a third fan agreed.
This week, Peter clearly struggles in the aftermath of Stephen’s death.
Coming up, his wife Carla returns home from fruitless business trip to Spain.
Upon her return, it becomes clear that she is still frosty with Peter but she still has a lot on her plate as she tries to save the Underworld factory.
Sarah Platt (Tina O’Brien) feels guilty, knowing that it’s Stephen who ruined their reputation with his dastardly deeds.
But there’s more tension in the air when Carla discovers that her PA has given Michael Bailey (Ryan Russell) his job back, despite him helping Stephen Reid rob the business from all its funds.
Despite Carla’s disapproval, Sarah sticks to her guns and points out that this is not Michael’s fault.
Michael reveals he’s working on some new designs but Carla’s dismissive.
However when a potential new client comes in for a meeting a desperate Carla orders Michael to fetch his portfolio.
Later on, a concerned Ken Barlow (William Roache) confides in Carla that he’s worried Peter may be drinking again.
This prompts them to look round the flat for any proof they’d need to confirm Peter’s relapse.
Having discovered a bottle of whisky she bought missing, Carla’s concerned for her husband and his health.
How will Peter react to the discovery?
