VILLAGERS have been put through the wringer in recent weeks and Brenda Walker is the next resident to face hardship.
The Emmerdale café owner played by Lesley Dunlop faces a huge relationship crisis with Eric Pollard next week.

However, the same thing can’t be said for their ITV alter egos as the on-screen couple are on the verge of an explosive breakup next week.
It all begins when Pollard is not acting like himself and lashes out at a baffled Brenda – and, with a little push, she comes to the conclusion that she deserves better.
Shaken and bereft, Brenda cries on the shoulder of village gossip Nicola King (portrayed by Nicola Wheeler).
Despite her tainted reputation, Nicola finally speaks some sense into Brenda as she immediately bolsters her to move on and find another man.
With fire in her heart, Brenda bubbles with anger and decides to follow Nicola’s advice.
Is it too late for Pollard to turn things around?
While things have been mostly smooth sailing for the couple in recent months, their relationship has often been rocky, particularly when Pollard couldn’t choose between Brenda and the late Faith Dingle.
Despite his indecision, Brenda stuck by his side and remained a faithful partner to him.
But could Brenda’s renewed sense of self-worth be enough to break them apart once and for all?
Will Pollard tell Brenda what’s on his mind?
Will he open up about his Parkinson’s disease diagnosis?
As regular viewers of the Yorkshire-based drama will remember, Eric was diagnosed with the condition on Wednesday (November 1, 2023) and confided in Mandy Dingle (Lisa Riley) about his turmoil.
Although he swore her to secrecy, could the beautician be the one to tell the truth?
Brenda and Pollard aren’t the only pair to experience relationship woes next week – just ask Lydia and Sam Dingle.
Everything you need to know about Emmerdale
The cleaner played by Karen Blick recently left the family home following Craig Reed’s brutal murder.
Through a string of flashbacks, Lydia has been trying to figure out who was responsible for Craig’s death.
Members of the Dingle family were gathered round in the Woolpack as Lydia questioned them about their alibis – and fans have their theories.
While Lydia’s husband Sam teamed up with his half-brother Cain to make Craig pay for his actions, many viewers of the Yorkshire-based program have been speculating that an unexpected character is the culprit.
Emmerdale airs weeknights from 7.30pm on ITV.
