CORONATION Street legend Simon Gregson is set to make a surprise appearance on another TV show – and it’s worlds away from the ITV soap opera.
Simon is best known for playing cab office owner Steve McDonald on the serial drama for over twenty years.
But he’s set to swap the streets of Weatherfield for the Yorkshire countryside after its been revealed he’s signed up for Really TV’s The Yorkshire Auction House.
Simon has even been spotted filming on location for the popular TV show.
The series is hosted by Antiques Road Trip star Angus Ashworth, and it’s thought that the soap favourite will be one of featured stars on a forthcoming celebrity edition of the TV show.
The episode will air on screen later this year.
The show is the latest reality television series that Simon has appeared on in recent years.
In 2021, the Steve McDonald star took part in ITV’s I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! and finished second place.
While he has also taken part in Celebrity Haunted Mansion, which he was crowned the winner.
Most recently, Simon was part of the line up of celebrities taking part in paranormal reality show Celebrity Help! My House Is Haunted.
The ator recently spoke out about finally seeing a psychiatrist who diagnosed him with anxiety.
He said to try to beat it he took medication, pushed himself in the gym and shared his thoughts on Twitter.
But now he reveals he finally has control of the gruelling condition after retraining his brain.
He said: “Everyone has a mental trigger that can help with recovery.
“For me, it was thinking, ‘Do I want to be surrounded by my family on my deathbed wishing I had worried more?’
“No, I didn’t. That was a eureka moment. So now I just let things go. I’ve learned to train my brain not to hold on to stuff that doesn’t matter.”
Simon revealed in 2019 that he suffered with anxiety after a BBC documentary about the condition explained how, in its severest form, it can interrupt a sufferer’s ability to carry out typical day-to-day tasks.
He called it a “hidden, awful” condition and revealed he had gone through therapy for it, to try to encourage others to get help.
