Coronation Street fans livid as Daisy gets away with murder in ‘cruel’ love triangle twist
CORONATION Street fans have been left livid by Daisy Midgeley in the latest twist of her love triangle.
Daisy recently slept with Ryan Connor despite being engaged to Daniel Osbourne, and continues to be torn between the two.
But after Daniel became suspicious of the pair as they met up at a hotel, Daisy has insisted to Ryan that she wants to be with Daniel and that they need to stay away from one another.
In tonight’s episode, Daniel was still stewing over the situation, and told dad Ken Barlow there was always “tension” between Daisy and Ryan whenever they were around one another.
Ken advised his son to speak to Daisy before jumping to conclusions, which he did when Daisy returned home from her night in a hotel.
The teacher asked his fiancee outright if something was going on between them, and Daisy lied that there wasn’t, before acting incredulous that he would suggest such a thing.
As Daniel asked for evidence of her hotel stay to confirm it wasn’t the same one Ryan had gone to, she raged: “I cannot believe you are making me do this, where is this coming from?”
She then provided him with an invoice for her stay, before later confiding in Jenny Connor that she had predicted Daniel would ask for something like that so switched hotels.
Later, Daniel spoke to Ryan and asked what was going on, and why things were so tense between him and Daisy.
Ryan decided to take the heat off Daisy, and told an element of the truth to Daniel, admitting he had told Daisy he loved her.
When Daniel asked how she had responded, Ryan lied and claimed she had let him down gently.
While Ryan’s words meant his friendship with Daniel was over, it was enough to convince Daniel that the feelings were one-sided and he went on to put an offer in on a flat for him and Daisy, much to her surprise.
But Coronation Street viewers were not too happy with Daisy and her behaviour during the episode, and took to X – formerly Twitter – to comment.
One wrote: “Daisy, ya sly lying s**e! Hope you get found out! You deserve it!”
Another added: “Daisys a cow Daniel deserves better”
A third tweeted: “daisy you cruel b*****d”
