The 21-year-old, who joined Leeds in January, has already managed seven goal contributions for Daniel Farke’s side this season, the last of which came in their 4-1 win over Huddersfield Town last weekend.
Leeds legend Matteo has been left mesmerised by the player’s movement on the pitch and feels Rutter gives others the impression that it will be easy to get the ball off him.
However, contrary to expectations, Matteo believes the French Under-21 international makes life difficult for opposition defenders with the way he moves his body.
Reflecting on Rutter’s performance last weekend against Huddersfield, Matteo told LUTV: “Rutter was absolutely outstanding.
“He seems to be getting better and better and better.
“He has this way about him where you think you are going to get the ball off him.
“He uses his body and the shape and the way he moves makes it so difficult for the defenders.”
Leeds broke their transfer record to sign Rutter from German side Hoffenheim for a £35.5m fee in January last year.
