I'm a,season ticket holder, a dad (of a youth season ticket holder), and I'm a normal European person in 21st century Scotland.
Following on from Dundee FC's statement last night, calling out the seemingly never-ending dark sectarianism and evil within the Rangers support, I would support Hibs in taking the following action, but my question is - would you?
In 3 points;
1. I appreciate we sell 3-4000 tickets over £30 each when Rangers visit ER.
2.i suspect a majority (an overwhelming majority?) of our season ticket holders cannot stand the bile, the evil, the hatred and the sheer disgusting & overt British Nationalism that emanates from the away end when Rangers visit
So
3. I would support Hibs saying to season ticket holders 'you can pay an optional £10 or £20 as a "keep Leith clean" top up to your season ticket price (a one off, annual payment, you choose to pay it or not).
If you pay this, every penny pf that top up will be used to remove seats from the Rangers support when they visit".
If everyone pays £20 we eradicate the problem.
If some pay & some don't (the realistic outcome) it allows Hibs to slash the allocation that the despicable people from Rangers will receive, without impacting our club financially.
So, a "keep Leith clean" top up payment, to reduce Rangers allocation?
I'm in.
But are you?
