There might be a huge difference in the Trump family when Ivanka Trump hits the courtroom next week in Donald Trump’s business fraud civil case. While her brothers, Donald Jr. and Eric Trump, are relying on their dad’s real estate portfolio and political career to pad their bank account, Ivanka has much less to worry about, according to the former president’s niece.
Mary Trump, author of Too Much and Never Enough: How My Family Created the World’s Most Dangerous Man, believes it is in Ivanka’s best interest “to tell the truth and throw him under the bus,” according to her newsletter, The Good In Us. She knows that Donald Trump’s three adult children have to “walk a very thin line between obfuscating in a way that’s not perjury and appeasing their father’s ego so that he doesn’t throw them under the bus when he testifies,” but Ivanka’s path seems much clearer.
Political pundit Molly Jong-Fast also chimed into the conversation, noting the differences between Ivanka and her brothers. “Don Jr. does whatever he can to protect his dad and make his dad love him. And Eric, same. But Ivanka, her husband manages $2 billion of Saudi money,” she said. Jared Kushner runs a successful, but controversial, investment fund, but it’s likely secured their family’s fortune outside the realm of the Trump Organization. Ivanka will be rich no matter what happens to her dad’s empire.

I don’t think that’s what happens. But I do think she ends up being the most unscathed because why wouldn’t she be?” Ivanka is the only one to escape being a defendant in the $250 million civil case, and she’s probably breathing a sigh of relief to have dodged that legal bullet.
