My easy four-ingredient solution smells exactly like Christmas, just put it on the stove and use leftovers as a spray
A HOME expert has shared her DIY mixture that will leave your whole house smelling like Christmas.
The TikToker showed her followers how to prepare for the festive season using just four household ingredients.
In her video, Chantel Mila (@mama_mila_) explained: “Here’s a fun way to make your home smell delightful for the holidays.”
She recommended saving the recipe “for when you’re putting up your Christmas tree.”
For the first step, Chantel boiled four cups of water in a pot on her stove.
She then added one sliced orange and half a cup of cranberries to the water.
Next, Chantel threw in two sprigs of rosemary, cinnamon, and a teaspoon of cloves.
“You can also add apples, star anise, ginger, vanilla, more clove, or whatever smells remind you of the holiday season,” she added in the clip’s caption.
She recommended bottling the liquid and using it as a fragrance spray throughout your home.
Given the concoction’s all-natural ingredients, Chantel also suggested drinking it as a tea.
Her followers took to the comments section to share their own suggestions and alterations to the solution.
“Add some sugar and you can make a simple syrup for any drinks for the holidays,” pointed out one viewer.
Another TikTok user wrote: “This is like a New Year’s simmer pot, similar ingredients minus the cranberries and add bay leaves and salt. It brings in good luck for the New Year.”
However, not everyone was sold on the simple homemade festive fragrance.
“Alternatively, just buy a candle,” suggested one person.
Another follower commented: “This is cute but groceries cost too much.”
