November 2 – US sports investor Bill Foley, majority owner of Premier League Bournemouth, has reportedly held provisional takeover talks with Scottish Premier League club Hibernian.
Foley, who has an estimated to have a net worth of $1.6 billion through his Fidelity National Finance insurance business.
Not afraid of taking a punt on sports, he paid $500 million for the Vegas Golden Knights to enter the NHL in 2017, winning the 2023 Stanley Cup and creating one of the league’s most valuable franchises.
