CHRIS Gascoyne has filmed his last Coronation Street scenes as he bids farewell to the ITV set after 23 years.
Back in July, The Sun exclusively revealed that Chris, 55, would be leaving his role as Peter Barlow after more than two decades on screen.

While some viewers thought the incident could see him sent to prison as his exit storyline, it seems soap bosses have something entirely different in mind.
Chris was seen filming scenes on a rainy tram platform this week, with the scenes set to air on Boxing Day.
Wearing a dark double-breasted winter coat and jeans, Peter is seen boarding the tram with a rucksack beside him.
In between takes, the actor gave a big thumbs up to the camera, having previously revealed he is pleased with how his alter ego leaves Weatherfield.
Chris said: “Well he has just killed someone so there are so many storylines that can come out of that and so many reasons that he might not be around any more.
“All I will say is I am delighted with my exit storyline, the scripts are superb and I can’t wait to see the reaction to how Peter leaves the street.”
At the time of Chris’s departure being announced, a source told The Sun: “Chris has decided to take an extended break from the soap.
“He loves working at Coronation Street but he’s got a lot of things he wants to do and the time is right for him to take a break and pursue other roles.
“It isn’t a final goodbye and the door is very much being left open.”
