JFK Jr & Carolyn Bessette Were Reportedly Fighting Over This Potential Life Change Mere Days Before Their Deaths

It’s no secret that John F. Kennedy Jr and Carolyn Bessette disagreed on numerous major lifestyle choices, and it seems even days before their death, they were having heated arguments over this potential lifestyle change.
In a detailed report from Vanity Fair, writer Edward Klein detailed the conversation one of Kennedy’s friends had with him merely two days before he, Carolyn, and her sister Lauren Bessette died in that tragic plane crash in July 1999. Kennedy was discussing the major fight he and Carolyn were having: being potential parents.
“I want to have kids, but whenever I raise the subject with Carolyn, she turns away and refuses to have sex with me,” Kennedy exclaimed to his friend. “[And] it’s not just about sex. It’s impossible to talk to Carolyn about anything. We’ve become like total strangers.”
It’s well-known at this point that Bessette and Kennedy had different opinions on bringing a child into the world. While Kennedy wanted kids, and maybe Bessette did in the future, but when they were married, she didn’t want children.
For those who don’t know, she was against it for two major reasons: the fear of becoming a typical Kennedy wife, and the paparazzi.
In the book entitled Jackie’s Girl: My Life With the Kennedy Family, author Kathy McKeon said, “She couldn’t take it. She wasn’t brought up with it. John was, Carolyn wasn’t… She said, ‘I’m terrified of them….I hate living in a fishbowl. John may be comfortable living like this, but I’m not. How could I bring a child into this kind of world?”
Bessette and Kennedy pair met back in 1992, but didn’t start dating until 1994. They later wed in 1996, and tragically passed away in 1999.
