Woman reveals the urgent reason why you must always check the warning labels on your laundry
NOW when it comes to laundry most of us have made a mistake at one point or another.
Whether it’s that dreaded red sock in with a whitewash or not checking the pockets and finding tissue all over a load.
At times when many of us are cutting back our energy usage avoiding these mistakes is imperative.
And really it’s not that hard to do laundry correctly, isn’t it?
Well, one woman has confessed she made the ultimate laundry mistake when she tried to wash her mattress protector.
Cindy shared her laundry disaster on TikTok and it’s a horrible sight.
Poor Cindy’s mattress protector melted and got stuck at the back of her washing machine.
A very important reason why we should all be checking our laundry labels and following the instructions very carefully.
The French influencer could be seen struggling to pull the mattress protector out of the machine.
She said: “#Catastrophe.”
Cindy’s laundry disaster went viral with over 3.2 million views and people were in shock.
One user said: “OMG!!!! HOW????…. I mean…HOW????”

“Happy Halloween,” another said.
A third user claimed: “I would cry ngl.”
Some viewers did their best to offer Cindy advice on how she could rectify the situation.
One user warned: “What material is that? That shouldn’t of been tumble dried why the looks of it always check the labels.”
Another confessed: “Happened to me once. Mattress protector said tumble dry so I did. It melted. Not all labels are correct. Now I avoid tumble drying plastic anything.”
“Turn it back on and peel once warm,” a third user suggested.
If you are looking to avoid a disaster like Cindy’s here are a couple of other things you can do.
Where possible wash your clothes on a low water setting – this should help you save money on your energy bills too.
Popping musty-smelling clothes on a quick cool setting in the dryer or a spin cycle can also keep them feeling fresh and uses less power than a full wash.
Dryer balls are a much cheaper alternative to dryer sheets as you can reuse them.
You can throw your detergent cap in the wash with your clothes and it will come out clean.
A little bit of vinegar goes a long way and half of cup of it will bring back the softness in your sheets plus it’s much cheaper than fabric softener.
