Israel has expanded its planned evacuations of communities on its northern border with Lebanon due to increased clashes with Hezbollah fighters since the war in Gaza began. The Defense Ministry has added 14 communities to the evacuation list, in addition to the 28 border-area villages and the nearby town of Kiryat Shmona. The Israeli military has been striking Hezbollah targets in Lebanon, and Hezbollah has been launching attacks across the border. The situation has raised concerns about the risk of a wider conflict in the region.
