Emily Ratajkowski made an effortlessly chic appearance in one of her go-to favorite sneaker styles in New York City on Friday.

Stepping out for a stroll, the model and writer slipped into a gray pair of New Balance’s 574 silhouette. The retro style the Boston-based brand debuted in 1988 is a sneaker she’s been spotted in on many occasions over the years. Available in a variety of colorways, the low top shoes retail for $85 on sites such as Zappos.com.

The New Balance 574 was initially introduced as a comfortable shoe for runners but has since been adopted as a casual lifestyle shoe. Other celebrity fans including Jessica Alba, Olivia Wilde and Alessandra Ambrosio have been seen in similar variations in recent months.

The rest of Ratajkowski’s look included a black leather trench coat layered over a black crewneck sweater paired with somewhat baggy gray-green pleated trousers.
