A Former Member of Britney Spears’ Inner Circle Has No Plans To Read Her Upcoming Tell-All

However, as the world awaits this memoir, there’s a twist. One person who was part of Britney’s inner circle reportedly has no plans to read it. This individual is not just anyone, but someone who has played a significant role in the pop star’s life.
The person in question is none other than her father, Jamie Spears. Britney’s relationship with her father has been strained, to say the least. Following her 2008 conservatorship, which Jamie controlled until September 2021, Britney expressed deep frustration and anger over her father’s control over her life.
A source close to Jamie Spears claims that he has no intentions of reading the memoir, as he feels she’s already lambasted him publicly in the past for being an absent father and keeping her in a controlling conservatorship for 13 years, per TMZ. In essence, he feels like there is nothing left for her to say about him that she hasn’t already said.
In her court testimony in June 2021, Spears accused her father of abusive behavior and exploitation. She claimed that Jamie, along with others involved in the conservatorship, had forced her to work against her will and exerted control over various aspects of her personal life. She even accused her father of mishandling her finances and taking money for himself as she continued to work nearly seven days a week at her Vegas residency while still under the conservatorship. In September 2021, her father filed a petition to end the conservatorship, which he still says was done in his daughter’s best interests.
Britney’s memoir, which is set to be narrated by Michelle Williams for audiobook format, comes out on October 24. The book promises to tell her side of the story, at last. Even if her father isn’t reading it, her fans who constantly advocated for her release from the conservatorship sure will be, and chances are, she is going to share even more than she already has about her mistreatment at his hands.
