A group of 50 scientists, including many who have contributed to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), have launched a yearly report series to provide more up-to-date information on climate change. The reports aim to address the time lag between the IPCC's comprehensive assessments, which can become outdated by the time they are published. The first report, published in June, revealed that human-induced warming had reached 1.26 degrees Celsius in 2022.
