The last few months marked the beginning of a whole new chapter for Sofía Vergara. The actress and her former husband, Joe Manganiello, shared back in July that they were officially going their separate ways after seven years of marriage. While neither party has spoken directly on the subject, we did get an update on how Vergara is doing from one of her longtime friends and former co-stars.
Julie Bowen, with whom Vergara worked on the ABC sitcom Modern Family for more than 10 years, got very candid about her pal in a recent interview. “We have spoken, and she’s doing great,” Bowen recently told People. “Sofía has always had such a wonderful family that surrounds her and wonderful friends.”

Indeed, Vergara has seemingly been living her best life following her split. “Her Instagram says it all,” Bowen told People. Vergara’s recent posts on the aforementioned social media platform include fabulous snapshots from her getaway to Paris. In each photo, she looked positively dazzling.
Bowen, Vergara, and the whole Modern Family cast have maintained a very close bond after all those years working together on set. Vergara and Bowen, in particular, have an incredibly special friendship. After this update, and based on what we’ve seen from her ‘Gram, we have no doubt Vergara is embracing this new chapter of her life surrounded by the people who love her most.
