With the Invictus Games behind them, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are gearing up for a whole new set of ventures and engagements. The couple, who took a step back as working senior members of the royal family in early 2020, are working together and independently on a slew of new projects. But one expert said he would be “surprised” if the Duchess of Sussex decided to pursue one particular undertaking in the near future.
When it comes to whether or not we’ll get a Meghan Markle memoir in the near future, all signs point to no. Well, at least if you ask PR expert and royal commentator Edward Coram-James. “I would be surprised were Meghan to release an autobiography any time in the next few years,” Coram-James told the Express via Marie Claire.

Speculation concerning whether or not Meghan will release a memoir goes back as far as December 2022, right around the time Harry’s memoir was due. So, why the hold-up? Well, Coram-James has some thoughts. “You don’t release a biography when the world is arguably a little tired of hearing from you. Interest in the Sussexes is currently on the decline, and their currency has diminished this year,” he said.
Indeed, interest in the couple has ebbed and flowed since Prince Harry dropped Spare earlier this year. But that could all change in the future, providing the right circumstances for Meghan to pen her own tome. “At some point interest in the royal couple will rise again. [Meghan] should wait until that moment,” Coram-James said.
