Let actor Mark Hamill, of Star Wars fame, take you on a journey to see how science in space reflects — or diverges from — innovations you’ve seen in the movies or on TV.
On television and in the movies, space adventures are depicted by actors pretending to be astronauts making amazing discoveries. Hamill will show how, in real life, orbiting far above our planet, astronauts from 21 countries have been doing work that will help future space explorers and all of us here on Earth too.
“We are committed to expanding space benefits for all humankind by engaging allies and partners who share our democratic values,” U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken said in May about U.S. space diplomacy.
