The footage provided by the Orange County Sheriff's Department came from private security and law enforcement cameras.
Video footage from private security and law enforcement cameras of the rampage by a retired Ventura police sergeant who opened fire at a Trabuco Canyon roadhouse was released Friday morning by the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.
Three victims were killed and six were injured, including the gunman’s estranged wife, in the melee at Cook’s Corner on August 23. The shooter, identified as 59-year-old John Patrick Snowling, died in the lengthy gunfight with deputies.
Sheriff’s officials said Snowling entered the bar carrying two handguns, walked directly to his wife, Marie, and opened fire without a word. He hit Marie Sprawling, who had earlier filed for divorce, once in the jaw before shooting randomly at other patrons.

The dead victims were identified as Tonya Clark, 49, of Scottsdale, Arizona, Glen Sprowl Jr., 53, of Stanton and John Leehey, 67, of Irvine.
John Snowling then walked out of the bar to get a third handgun and a 12-gauge shotgun from his truck, where he was confronted by deputies.
The video was released as part of a critical incident report, which is issued following the use of deadly force by law enforcement officers or deputies, under the theory that the public has a right to see why and how it happened.
Cook’s Corner reopened on Sept. 1.
