Sarah Jessica Parker paid homage to her ever-iconic “Sex and the City” character Carrie Bradshaw while in attendance at the New York City Ballet’s 2023 Fall Gala held yesterday alongside her husband and fellow actor Matthew Broderick.
Parker sported a pair of mismatched slingback sandals, a Bradshaw signature, from her namesake brand SJP Collection. One of the strappy slingbacks was a pastel pink, likened to the color of a pointe shoe, while the other was a coordinating black.
Both shoes, in the style Dish, featured a strappy slingback construction along with satin uppers and high-shine diamond-encrusted buckle detailing on the toes that offered the footwear silhouette a whimsical touch. Additionally, each shoe included pointed toes and 4 inch stiletto heels, which offered the “And Just Like That” star a proper boost.
Both sandals already come from pre-existing mismatched sets on the SJP Collections website. The SATC reference in question points to the episode “Escape From New York,” where Bradshaw and friends leave New York for Los Angeles, a scene in which the sex columnist wears a mismatched pair of Christian Louboutins.
Parker was dressed, and aptly so, in a dancerly all-black Carolina Herrera gown from the brand’s fall 2023 collection. The garment was long-sleeved and sat off the shoulders. The form-fitted bodice transitioned into a rather voluminous tulle skirt. Rounding out her look, Parker fastened an almost floor-length giant black bow in her hair and toted a sparkling silver mini bag.
Parker is a chameleon with a colorful and sparkly shoe collection — with some notable favorites, often from her own SJP by Sarah Jessica Parker brand. The “Failure to Launch” actress regularly wears T-strap and pointed-toe pumps on the red carpet, both from her namesake line and brands like Manolo Blahnik, Rene Caovilla and Christian Louboutin.
Off-duty, she’s also been seen in boots, flats and sandals from Isabel Marant, Repetto and Swedish Hasbeens.
