VINNIE Jones has finally sold the last house he owned with his late wife Tanya, as pals said he is ready to close the door on that part of his life.
The football hardman was married to Tanya for 25 years before her death from cancer in July 2019 aged just 53.
Friends confirmed Vinnie, 58, had now sold their home in Ganders Ash, Watford.
A pal said: “Vinnie and Tanya had their Watford house for almost as long as they were married and it holds a lot of memories for him.
“He rented the house out for a long time as he and Tanya moved to Los Angeles.
“After Tanya passed away, Vinnie sold their home in LA but had held onto the place they had in Watford.
“It was a hard decision to sell it but he wanted to close that door and focus on the future.”
A spokeswoman for Vinnie confirmed he has sold the property.
Former Wimbledon and Chelsea player Vinnie told The Sun in 2019 how he had sold their home in LA because he could not cope with the idea of living there without Tanya.
She passed away at the house, six years after being diagnosed with skin cancer.
He went on to buy the house next door and now splits his time between his home there and the farm in West Sussex.
Vinnie has worked with Lime Pictures on a new docu-series which will document his new life on the sprawling 147 acre plot.
He said: “Most people know me as a professional footballer or Hollywood hardman, but what they probably don’t know is all of that hard work has been to support my real passion: my home in the great British countryside.
“I was raised living off the land and can’t wait to show people the joy and beauty of our countryside, and the reward of old-fashioned hard work. Bring it on.”
After Tanya’s death, Vinnie pushed himself out of his comfort zone and took part in The Celebrity X Factor in 2019.
At the time he told The Sun how he still spoke to Tanya every day, adding: I talk to her all of the time. Constantly.
“We have a little chat when I’m making my bed. This morning I went ‘there you go babe, look’ and it wasn’t my best bed making, so I re-did it.”
