Kentucky finally snapped a 34-year underdog streak against Florida
The Kentucky Wildcats finally have the oddsmakers on their side against the Florida Gators for the first time in 34 games.
Indeed, 4-0 Kentucky entered Saturday’s home game against 3-1 Florida as the 1.5-point favorites, which the Wildcats have not done since the 1980s.
A team long considered the underdogs when taking on the Gators, oddsmakers felt comfortable enough by kickoff to keep Kentucky as the favorites for the day.
It’s a testament to Kentucky starting off the year with an undefeated record, and a win against Florida on Saturday would likely land the Wildcats among the top 25 college football teams in the country once the weekly poll comes out next week.

Kentucky got the day started off with a 3-point lead, so maybe the oddsmakers really had the right idea with how Saturday’s game in Lexington might go.
At the least, Kentucky can’t be considered the underdog against Florida anymore. Now, they’ll stand shoulder-to-shoulder in oddsmakers’ eyes.
