Warning as speed camera dubbed ‘nightmare’ that is ‘100% accurate’ set to be rolled out in popular Brit destination

DRIVERS have been warned that speed cameras – boasted to be 100 per cent accurate – could be rolled out across the UK soon.

These sneaky new high-tech cameras mean that breaking right before a camera will no longer get motorists off the hook.

Following a successful trial in France, the Parifex 3-D NANO-CAM is set to be rolled out across France and could easily catch out an unsuspecting Brit holidaymaker.

These stealthy devices have one goal – to fight those who refuse to stick to the speed limit.

And they have been branded a “nightmare for motorists” who will struggle to escape their wrath.

The camera’s 360-degree vision means it’s almost impossible for a vehicle not to be identified, while its 3-D modelling technology allows it to determine your speed, acceleration and distance.

This relies on the device shooting out lasers to detect successive speeds at different points to catch out any drivers who slow down before a camera.

It can scan up to 100m of road and measure any speeds between 18mph to 155mph.

However, the technology goes far further than that.

The super-speed camera can even detect when vehicles jump at red lights, cross double white lines, tailgate other vehicles, drive against the traffic or fail to stop at a stop sign.

The NANO-CAM can also operate in any weather conditions, day or night, and can tell the difference between all road users – pedestrians, motorcyclists, and cyclists.

At the moment, the cameras have only been approved on French roads but experts believe it won’t be long until it joins UK motorists.

It comes as British drivers have also been warned that an equally high-tech speed camera could also be headed to UK roads.

The latest technology trialled in Spain uses laser systems and ‘doppler effect technology’ to accurately record the speed of a vehicle over a certain distance.

Gary Digva, founder of Road Angel has warned all UK drivers that these new anti-braking systems could be used across the nation to control speeding.

He said: “If introduced, these devices will catch and penalise more speeding motorists, encouraging more drivers to stick to legal limits and improve road safety.”
