: Dow on pace to close below 200-day moving average, as long-term Treasury yields climb
The Dow Jones Industrial Average DJIA fell almost 400 points on Tuesday, on pace to close below its 200-day moving average, which if happens, would be the index’s first close below its long-term average since March 22. U.S. stocks traded lower in the last hour of trading on Tuesday, as long-term Treasury yields stayed near their highest levels in a dozen years or more. The S&P 500SPX dropped 1.5% and the Nasdaq Composite COMP fell 1.6%.
