“Survivor 45” contestant Kaleb Gebrewold has a plan to “give off golden retriever energy” in order to make it to the end of the game. The 29 year old salesman from Canada can be seen dancing to the beat of his own heart as he talks about his plans to be named the winner. Watch their full CBS interview below.
When Kaleb refers to himself as “a Black Huckleberry Finn,” he means that he’s “just kinda figuring it out.” He explains that “becoming a lifeguard having never passed swim lessons and starting [his] own painting business having never picked up a brush before” are ways that he’s moved through life experiences on a whim. He adds that he also “made up a twin brother for [himself]” just in case he needed an excuse.

Kaleb readily admits that his current job in software sales is “something else [he has] no experience in” so when it comes to being on “Survivor” there’s no reason he shouldn’t be. “I’ve never been qualified for anything anyway,” he says. “So why wouldn’t I come here and win Survivor as well?” So what’s his plan to win? He wants his competitors to think he “he loves games, loves people, he’s energetic” so that they “don’t realize that this dog was raised by wolves.” He sees himself as a mixture between Cody Assenmacher and Jesse Lopez because he loves “a great villain,” but appreciates “people who understand it’s a game.”
Don’t miss Kaleb compete as an original member of the Lulu tribe sporting this season’s yellow buff when “Survivor 45” premieres on Wednesday, September 27. The new season features 18 new players divided into three tribes: Belo, Lulu, and Reba. Do you think Kaleb will be the newest champion?
