Budgeting brides racing to Sainsbury’s for wedding gowns saying the dresses are ‘living proof that dreams do come true’
SAINSBURY’S has released its very own bargain bridal collection and it’s getting rave reviews from newlyweds.
The five-piece Tu offering is in partnership with Married at First Sight UK (MAFS) and prices start as cheap as £10.
There’s white dresses and a suit for classic and modern brides, with one saying the bargain collection is “living proof that dreams do come true”.
Tu at Sainsbury’s Bridal White V-Neck Plisse Dress has an elegant silhouette at £22 and is available from sizes 8 to 24.
The collection’s White Bias Cut Cowl Neck Dress costs £50 and was a hit with one bride.
“I didn’t think my special day could get any better, but then I found this amazing dress for my wedding,” she reviewed.
“Now I still have another £25 remaining in my budget to put towards a bouquet. This dress is living proof that dreams do come true.
“Thank you to Sainsbury’s for creating something both romantic and thrifty.”
Tu bosses described it as “timeless” and “show stopping”.
The cheapest bridal piece is a £10 White Square Neck Plisse Cami.
“Create a stunning bridal look with our square-neck plisse cami top in white,” a blurb on it reads.
“This sleeveless style with delicate straps perfectly compliments our white bridal suit.”
Tu has also produced an entire bridal suit for the modern bride, complete with a £40 White Double-Breasted Jacket and £28 pair of matching smart trousers.
“Get ready for your big day with our double-breasted white coord bridal blazer jacket,” a blurb on the outfit reads.
“It features double lapels, light brown tortoise shell-style buttons, and stitched side pockets for a seamless look.
“Don’t forget the matching coord trousers to complete your bridal outfit.”
Sainsbury’s bosses tipped that more pieces are set to be added to the collection soon.
Earlier this month, brides-to-be were eyeing up £2 veils from Boohoo for their big day.
The rise of high-street bridal attire is due to the increasing pressure felt by Brits amid the cost-of-living crisis.
While some brides still want to splash the cash on the traditional wedding dress and veil shopping experience, others are cutting back on costs.
